So binged Silo season 2. And yes, as I expected, I enjoyed it far more with binging rather than waiting for the next episode.
On the whole yes, a good season.
Spoilers for season 2.
Juliette's side quest plot did drag a bit and came across as repetitive. She gets an infection, she gets the bends, she gets an arrow in her shoulder and so on. How she manages to recover so fast is a wonder! It almost felt like filler where she's waiting it out while the plot in Silo 18 catches up. Plus, the scenes in Silo 17 were so bloody dark. I had to increase the brightness on my laptop to the highest to even see what was going on.
I will sorely miss Iain Glenn. He wasn't in it a lot but the few scenes he were in? Sooo good. An amazing actor. The scene with him and Tim Robbins were he talks about losing his family brings all the emotions.
Speaking of Tim Robbins. I hope Bernard survives. He's unlikable, but we get why he is doing what he is doing. Also his line delivery is what makes the Silo 18 scenes so much fun - ' HAHAHA - THAT WAS DRAMATIC - HAHAHA'
Unfortunately I found the whole Walker/Mclain stuff to be as boring as the Knox/Shirley stuff, dragging the episodes down. After all this time Walker suddenly being obsessed with Mclain just comes across as bad writing. Thankfully, the last episode we get the old Walker back.
Paul Billings and Lukas Kyle turned out to be MVPs. Love them both and both actors are also great. Hope to see more of them next season. Lukas was pretty much the only character pushing the plot forward with trying to solve the mystery of the Silo. Plus, I felt there was more chemistry between Shirley and Lukas in those 5 minutes of screen time they shared than ALL the Knox/Shirley scenes put together.
Also it was hilarious with Paul Billing's wife showing up always holding a baby - whatever the scenario, whether it was a rampaging mob, people being beaten up, attacking each other, a stampede, she would show up holding a bundle.

I wonder if the actress got tired of being in EVERY scene holding that bundle. I would be sitting there getting worried that something was going to happen to the baby in the middle of a mob and she would show up AGAIN with a baby during a stampede!
It was great to see Sims brought down a peg and floundering after losing his power. His wife is a puzzle. Why is she doing what she is doing. Is it really to support her husband or is there an ulterior motive. Interesting that the AI chose her and her child but not Sims.
Finally, the ending scene... What? Jessica Henwick? I guess we will be exploring how these Silos came to be next season.
So yeah, they ended that well making for a satisfying season. Did enjoy it. Looking forward to season 3!!

For being a monsters, action-adventure series, Monarch: legacy of monsters is quite slow paced
I’d like to recommend Silo, The Last Thing He Told Me or Me.

"I see Juliette as one of those little plants in cement that breaks through, like you can't stop nature. See, the curiosity of a person will always conquer over restrictions."
